Supporting Component Development for the Crewed Pressurized Rover
–Collaborating on the Development of a Locking Mechanism for the Rover’s Solar Array Panel System (FY2025–26)–
HI-LEX ACT Corporation (hereinafter “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it was commissioned in FY2025-26 by Toyota Motor Corporation in connection with the research and development of the Crewed Pressurized Rover being conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation and other companies. The Company has been commissioned to develop a locking mechanism for the Crewed Pressurized Rover’s solar array panel system (hereinafter the “SAP system”).
The locking mechanism the Company is helping to develop is for the Crewed Pressurized Rover’s SAP system case, and must meet high reliability standards to withstand the harsh lunar environment. In the development and evaluation of this product, the Company will leverage the door lock technologies it has cultivated over many years.
